The arnie system

Arnie links all parties in the auto repair process – insurers, repairers, disposal agents and policy holders. It ensures all interactions are managed quickly, seamlessly and efficiently. It does this through interfaces with Policy Systems, most commercial quoting systems, and salvage agent systems.


For the insurer

Arnie provides an efficient and effective platform for the assessment, procurement of services, service fulfilment, and payment of stakeholders for auto repairs or salvage.

Arnie is configurable to an Insurer’s business workflows so the system is logical and intuitive and requires minimal end-user training. The system arms the Insurer with process visibility, knowledge and control to help drive down the average cost per claim, reduce the claim lifecycle, improve performance, and enhance the customer experience.

When interfaced with the insurer’s Policy System, all claim details are populated within arnie to enable the claims management team to commence with the repair fulfilment process.

When the claim is mobilised, arnie:

  • Enables the allocation of the job to the assigned assessor (internal or 3rd party).
  • Conducts the assessment process, so all data, notes, assessment decisions, supporting information such as parts prices and used vehicle valuation reports, and even REVS & WOVRs for total loss jobs, are maintained under the claim.
  • Enables the selection of the best repairer for the job based on geographic location, job size, vehicle type and past performance using “smart selection” functionality. The offer to repairer(s) and their subsequent quotations are managed through arnie by way of interfaces with leading quote packages.
  • Validates all quotes against parts data and benchmark claims information (parts and labour). This substantially reduces the risk of financial leakage through maverick procurement and excessive quotations.
  • Manages all communications with the successful repairer – progress notes, job status, variations, sub-lets, completion notices, electronic invoices, and notification of payment. The agreed job cost and invoices are matched to eliminate the chance of quote/invoice spread.
  • Interfaces with salvage agency systems to expedite the total loss process.
  • Provides the Insurer with significant insights into operational information to inform operational, tactical and strategic decision making through its comprehensive reporting module.

For the assessor

Arnie enables motor assessors to assess, record and process vehicle damage in a comprehensive yet simple process. Whether an insurance employee or 3rd party contractor, assessors are able to use arnie to undertake site assessments, assessments within a centralised assessment centre or via desktop. Arnie provides the assessor with a platform that enables accuracy, visibility and productivity that is unattainable with traditional work methods.

  • Assessors access their unique work-list to determine the composition of work – new jobs, WIP, closed jobs etc. • All Insurance Policy details and vehicle specifics are immediately visible for the assessor (through interfacing with insurer’s Policy System)
  • Arnie enables on-site, assessment centre, and desktop assessment processes (PC or tablet).
  • The system provides a diagram-directed damage classification process with discrete new, old and total loss damage tabs
  • Parts prices and used vehicle valuation reports are available to ensure that the initial assessment and repairer quotations are aligned to market rates.
  • Business rules are enabled to facilitate the quick determination of repair or total loss. ARNIE analyses the repair assessment costs, used car valuation data, and defined business rules (e.g. % thresholds of current valuation) and provides decision support to the assessor.

Repairers / repair panels

ARNIE provides a complete workflow management tool for repairers. Arnie can facilitate the offer and acceptance process, which would incorporate facilitating the quotation, and manage communications and document management throughout the repair fulfilment process. This single system approach provides visibility, control, efficiency and governance and helps optimise the repair lifecycle and facilitate payment.

A repairer’s interaction with arnie can be as simple as an indirect association through to using the many features of the arnie repairer site. For those who do not wish to use the arnie system, an interface will enable repairer quotes from a push of a button on your quoting package. Job allocation notifications, requests for photographic evidence, and notes, can be facilitated through e-mail.

Arnie provides repairers with their own secure site. Each site provides a worklist which shows allocated jobs in their various stages of completion and milestone dates. The entire job fulfilment process is managed within arnie, including the recording of job notes, digital images, variation requests, and requests for sub-lets, completion notices and creation/submission of invoices. Arnie can also facilitate factoring to help insurers better manage their cash flow.


Arnie helps management

Complete high quality operational data is essential for management to make informed business decisions. All data within arnie can be extracted and shaped into meaningful reports to help the insurer with operational snap shots, as well as pertinent information for tactical and strategic business decisions. Arnie’s reporting module can also import multiple systems data into a single database for multi-dimensional analysis.

Yarris offers a standard set of arnie reports that can be run to a defined schedule and/or at the discretion of the user. The module also facilitates instant “ad hoc” custom report generation. All reports can be represented by graphs, tables and cross tabs and includes the ability for simple calculations.
